What Season Are We In?

To the natural mind when asked that question we readily respond with one of the four seasons such as; spring, winter, fall, or summer. That is the obvious way to respond, but what I am referring to is what season are we in spiritually. Just like the earth our body and spirit go through changes or seasons. God dictates the seasons naturally and spiritually, and He always leaves patterns that if we pay attention we can prepare for what type of season we are embarking upon.

A few months leading up to January 1, 2019 I kept having random moments of excitement. I recognized the awesome feelings came from God. It was absolutely amazing. When the feeling of excitement came upon me I immediately went into giving God praise. The pattern for me is when I experience those feelings something amazing happens soon after. This went on for a few weeks before God told me that we are entering into a season of FRESH WIND. Fresh wind meaning a grand shifting into His blessings and promises. I have to tell you I was so excited and ready for His fresh wind to rush through my life. I needed this new season like I need oxygen to breathe. God is saying 2019 is a time of increase and celebration! God is renewing and refreshing our situations daily! We need to get excited and stay excited about this fresh wind. Our obedience to His instructions draws us closer to what He has put ahead of us. According to God’s Word He wants our obedience above all else. When we purpose to please God by putting God first, all things strategically fall into place His way. We are walking out of a season and walking into a season of new levels and dimensions that lead to unmerited favor in our work places, relationships, connections, wisdom, rest, peace, love, and needs being met.

Here are scriptures to meditate on while in your new season. Read them often and apply them to your daily routine. According to John 3:16, God has a tremendous love for His people and has already paid for our victorious life.

Isaiah 40:3 “But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

My prayer for this season is that we continue to seek closeness with our Father as we embrace the freshness promised to us. Let us not forget what we have gone through to get to this point. Each and every day let us remember that we are treasures (high value) to God. We were bought with the shed blood of Jesus, who willingly stayed up on that cross so that we can live a victorious life. Recognize the season that you are in and live your best life.

Be Blessed, Anita Y. Armstrong
